I had not seen Jack in a year or more, and like so many times in life, I find myself wishing I had written or called or said these things before now. Like so many of Jack's students, he was a significant influence in my life both musically and personally. (Continued…)

I remember Professor Jack Gilfoy as being one of the greatest people I've ever met. I took a class with him called the music of the Beatles.He was always excited about talking about the Beatles. (Continued…)

It was while I waS in school at Bloomington in the 70s that I first heard the name Jack Gilfoy. My two roommates were taking a class he offered on recording. (Continued…)

Professor Gilfoy was by far my favorite college prof. ever. I took every class he offered in music. I would always stop by his office and say hi when he had his door open. (Continued…)

I was shocked to hear of Jack's death. I had the opportunity to take drum lessons from Jack in the early 80s and really appreciated our lessons together. (Continued…)
