"The support has been overwhelming. Even today, I woke up and in front of my doorstep there were tons of shoes. It's absolutely amazing how this thing has turned out. We have two cars full to drop off today."

Samaritan's Feet is an International ministry that focuses on bringing shoes to youths and children from areas of poverty, ravaged wars and religious persecution. The vision was formed 23 years ago at a summer camp in Nigeria.

Coach Hunter's goal was 40,000 pairs of shoes but according to the IUPUI Athletic department's website, Coach Hunter received more than 100,000 pairs of shoes and more than $20,000 in donations.

"This has been the best week in my life, said Coach Hunter. "I have had a lot of good things happen in my life. Now I'm really blessed where God can let me have the opportunity to help these children. This is the best thing you can accomplish. You win some great games and hopefully we will go to the NCAA tournament but I can't imagine my life without being more fulfilled than the past few days."
