As a recent college graduate, Barry wants more than just one career for the rest of his life-working at Honex, making honey. Barry jumps at the opportunity to travel outside of the hive and discovers an amazing world he could never have imagined. When Barry accidentally meets an eccentric florist named Vanessa (voiced by Renee Zellweger) he breaks the number one bee law-he speaks to her, a human.
A friendship blooms and soon Barry is learning the ways of the human race. After a few visits with Vanessa, Barry discovers that humans purchase honey right off the grocery store shelves. He is determined to stop the injustice by suing the human race for stealing the honeybees' precious honey.
In the end, Barry learns that bees do a lot more than just make honey, they keep the trees and flowers alive, and by doing so, they brighten the lives of many around them. Full of fun songs, wonderful animation, and hysterical jokes, "Bee Movie" is loads of fun for the whole family.
Younger children will enjoy the music and animation, while older children will laugh at the jokes and sympathize with Barry as he learns some of life's lessons. This is truly one of the greatest family films of the year, with enough laughs to go around, and enough "ah-ha" moments to keep parents and children alike begging for more!
