Soon, an overworked and anxious talent scout named Mikey Abromowitz comes to Shiverpool seeking talented surfers to compete in the Big Z Memorial Surf Contest. Cody manages to get in the contest, and along the way befriends Chicken Joe, the epitome of a "surfer dude."
Throughout the movie, Cody discovers more and more about "Big Z" and stands up to a bully named Tank, who thinks "Big Z" is a sad excuse for a surfer, and belittles Cody every chance he gets.
Along the way, Cody has to learn the skills of teamwork and perseverance while learning to believe in himself.
This movie is hysterically funny, and appeals to people of all ages, whether they are in preschool or high school. With a running time of only 85 minutes, it's a quick movie to enjoy anytime.
Filled with realistic animation, fun songs, and jokes, some of which only the parents will appreciate, "Surf's Up" will have the whole family laughing.
