Take a walk through Sleepy Hollow, attend a party with the Van Tassels, and go on a haunted hayride where the Headless Horseman is lurking around every corner. At Conner Prairie's "The Headless Horseman" children come face-to-face with characters straight out of the late 18th century.

The actual hayride takes only about 10 minutes, but is jam-packed with special effects, detailed scenery, and of course, a few visit from the Headless Horseman himself. Aside from the actual hayride itself, The Apple Store offers visitors a variety of sweet treats including caramel apples, cider slushies, and candy.

A magician dishes up fun and surprises for everyone, even the parents. Rhythm Fun with Bill Bailey is a treat to behold for younger children.

Bailey plays a never-ending mix of music for the kids to play along with while they sit on haystacks and play with drums, washboards, and tambourines. The children's favorite part of Bailey's act? Bailey playing the spoons, of course.

Children of all ages will enjoy the experience at Conner Prairie, whether it be barn dancing, getting their faces painted, listening to stories, making s'mores with mom and dad or playing music with Bailey, there's fun to be had by everyone. Get there early though--later in the evening, the lines for the Headless Horseman hayride are positively terrifying!
