Student VOICE Project

Dear Students,
President Michael McRobbie has asked that students at IUPUI come together to solicit student opinion on a number of issues directly related to student life on the IUPUI campus. The Student VOICE Project is intended to identify student recommendations for their Vision Of the Ideal College Environment. Some of you receiving this message have volunteered to be involved and others have been nominated by their academic dean or other staff members at the University. I hope you will seriously consider participating.
Students will be organized into a project steering committee and five sub-committees addressing the Intellectual Environment, the Social Environment, the Campus Living Environment, the Off-Campus Student Experience, and Support Services for Students. Discussions within each sub-committee are intending to be broad-ranging and to allow you and other members of the committee to offer specific recommendations to President McRobbie. Campus resources will be available to support the sub-committees if they wish to survey student opinion or solicit student input in other ways.
It is our hope each of the sub-committees can complete their work within the next six months. The project will get under way in November. It will begin with a meeting with President McRobbie so that he can more clearly outline his charge to you.
